Sailing electronics leader, B&G, joins the team as an official supplier!

B&G, the world leader in sailing electronics, has officially joined our team as an official supplier, supporting the Francesca in her campaign to compete in the 2028 Vendée Globe. Our 60-foot foiling IMOCA, 11th Hour Racing, will be fully equipped with cutting-edge B&G navigation systems engineered specifically to handle the high-speed dynamics and extreme demands of modern offshore foiling racers.

Celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2026, B&G boasts an unrivalled heritage in ocean racing, with its systems having been onboard every single winner of the Whitbread Round the World Race and The Ocean Race since 1973. This deep expertise allows B&G to develop advanced navigation algorithms and autopilot systems capable of reacting in milliseconds, ensuring stability even when boat speeds exceed 30 knots.

"To race solo at the highest level on a foiling IMOCA, absolute trust in your data is fundamental,” said Francesca “B&G isn't just hardware; it reads the sea state and wind shifts with me. Having technology onboard that allows me to monitor flight trim and manage the boat with total clarity is a game-changer."

When racing at the limit, instrument reliability and data accuracy are decisive factors, making B&G’s systems essential tools for interpreting true wind data and ensuring safe maneuvers.

Matt Eeles, Product Director for B&G, commented: “B&G is incredibly proud to partner with Francesca and her team. Her track record of success and breaking records aligns perfectly with B&G’s DNA, rooted in performance, innovation, and a pioneering spirit. At the heart of this relationship is a shared passion for sailing, a sport that connects people to the elements and fosters a deep respect for the natural world.”
